Ma Xó 1.0.5: play with friends, ask Maxo right at stops

Ma Xó just rolled out version 1.0.5 with a bunch of new treats. Here is a quick rundown 👻

👫 PLAY WITH FRIENDS Exploring solo is fun, but exploring together is even better. Now you can start a journey and invite up to 5 more friends: • Send an invite link or share your room code. Friends just tap "Enter room code" on Home to join. • Shared team progress: whoever completes a task marks that stop for the whole group, unlocking story chapters for everyone. • Everyone's snap photos appear for the whole group to enjoy.

🦉 ASK MAXO RIGHT AT STOPS Standing by an old đình and wondering what makes it special? Tap "Ask Maxo" on the stop card to ask about where you are, or send a photo for Maxo to check out. Each player gets 5 questions and 1 photo per stop. Maxo only drops hints, no spoiling answers 😉

🧩 MORE TASK VARIETY Not just snapping photos anymore. At spots with rich backstories, stops will feature multiple-choice trivia, observation riddles, or fill-in-the-blanks. Complete them in any order to unlock the story chapter. Available for newly created challenges from now on.

🗺️ REVAMPED JOURNEY PATH The journey trail on screen now stretches with the number of stops, giving every trip a unique shape and more room for snap photos.

🍜 FOOD PICKS TAILORED TO GROUP SIZE When setting up a challenge, pick who is joining: solo, couple, or a group. Ma Xó will suggest spots and dishes matching your party size.

🔧 BUG FIXES • Front camera no longer freezes while snapping. • Holiday cards on Home now have consistent heights, with easier-to-read temperatures in dark mode. • Various small fixes for a smoother experience.

📲 HOW TO UPDATE? iPhone: head to the App Store, search "Ma Xó", and tap Update, or tap the button below. Android: the new build is on the way, Ma Xó will let you know as soon as it drops.

Gather your crew for a spin this weekend and see who unlocks the most stories! 🎃
